Gløtberget Lodges and Camping is situated at the edge of the lake Isteren with beautiful views across the lake towards the peak of the Sølen mountains with its highest point at 1,755 meters above sea level. The name has been given to the property as this is where the river Gløta flows into the lake. There has been a mountain farm and transportation services here since 1905.

In old times there was no road between Drevsjø, the nearest village, and Røros (the World Heritage Town, with its wooden houses and infamous copper mine) so people who wanted to travel back and forth had to cross the lake by boat in the summer or by horse and sled during the winter season. People used our services for transportation until the new road to Tolga and Røros was completed in 1964. .

At present we have three lodges for rent and we hope to add to this portfolio over the coming years to offer a wider selection of lodges around this beautiful bay.

All our lodges are well equipped with modern furniture and facilities, with kitchens and bathrooms in all the self catering units.

Sjøgløtt (Lake peak)
This lodge is the one closest to the lake. This used to be the location of the main house on the farm until the great fire in 1972, as a matter of fact this lodge is the ground floor of the old farm house that has been renovated into a lodge.
Sjøgløtt has two bedrooms with a maximum sleeping capacity for 7 persons. The living room has an open fireplace, and is decorated with antiques from the farm. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped, and the unit also has TV, Radio and a bathroom with shower

Solgløtt (Sun peak)
Solgløtt is situated in the slope where the sun first hits the farm in the morning. The lodge has two bedrooms with a maximum sleeping capacity for 6 persons. Solgøtt has a small kitchen, living room and a toilet with sink. Solgløtt also has a view of the lake.

Steinbu(Stone house)
Steinbu is situated at the edge of the forest and has been given its name due to the many large stones that has been left around it from the last ice age. The unit is close to the lake and the boat house. This unit was actually the 2nd floor of the old farm house, and has been removed from the main building and reassembled in its new location as a lodge. Steinbu also has two bedrooms with a maximum sleeping capacity for 7 persons. Steinbu has a living room with an open fireplace, well equipped kitchen and a bathroom with shower.
